Notes
- Episode 1 features a visual prologue.
Trivia (Who Fax)
- The opening prologue was not part of the original script.
- President Abbot was modelled after President Adar from Battlestar Galactica.
- Zylon: Rebellion was intended to conclude a trilogy of stories which included Target Zylon (139) and Legacy of the Zylons (184).
- This story takes place five years after the conquest of Earth.
- The director specifically asked for an Irish accent for Michelle Compton because he liked Irish accents and wanted one for the story.
- In the original plan for the story, Marcus Keene was supposed to be a Zylon plant, but that plot was cut for time.
- The mark on the right hand of the humans which the collab was asking about was a nod to the Mark of the Beast from the book of Revelation.
- The idea of collabs was inspired by the Jewish collaborators who, while imprisoned in concentration camps, nevertheless collaborated with the Nazis to protect their own lives and would, at times, abuse their power.
- All the codes Michelle Compton uses were thought up while the writer was taking a bath.
- The Siren's Song, a Generation II Star Cruiser, was selected for the sole purpose of showcasing an older star cruiser since the older stories featuring them are not available to the public. Additionally, the klaxons are the exact same klaxons used in the older stories such as The Web of Death (071) and The Ultimate Weapon (086).
- According to the script notes, the insignia for the Siren's Song are two wavy horizontal lines. The script also includes extensive notes about the Zylons, the war, and how Star Cruisers are set up.
- The only use of Battlestar Galactica music in this story is after the zylon ship is destroyed in Episode 4.
- The thought that the Siren's Song might be the last Star Cruiser was actually not intended to be a Battlestar Galactica reference. The script does say whether or not other Star Cruisers survived the invasion, but only as a note and not as dialogue.
- The jacks and "room full of rabbits" were a reference to the Coburn Doctor story The Price of Paradise (137).
- The ultimate fate of the Siren's Song was deliberately left vague so the audience could decide what happened to it.
